Windows: Automatically logging on after startup

Often I find it practical to have my Windows virtual machines to automatically logon after start up.

1. Open netplwiz or control userpasswords2¹
2. If not already checked, check Users must enter a username and password to use this computer
3. Select the user you wish to automatically log in
4. Un-check Users must enter a username and password to use this computer

   

5. Press Apply
6. Enter the password for subject user in the fields Password & Confirm Password

   

7. Press OK
8. Press OK
